There are many technical problems that we could encounter whilst filming. For example there could be problems with the camera. Previously, we have been out using the camera and there have been issues with battery life, this was a waste of time as we could have to change the battery to one that was charged. In addition to this, there have also been issues in the past of the memory cards getting full whilst we were mid shot. To avoid this it is important to not only back up footage beforehand but make sure that the SD card is empty before filming begins. Another useful thing to consider would be to bring multiple SD cards to the filming session so there is no danger of there being a lack of memory. For some of our scenes we are planning to use multiple cameras so it is important to make sure that they both use the same aspect ratio otherwise the final product would look unsatisfactory and it would be a waste of time to attempt to change the aspect ratio of the wrong camera in the editing process.
There could also be potential problems with the computers. Because there will be the use of two separate computers, Macs at school and Windows at home. we will have to be careful when doing things such as editing because the difference in the two operating systems could prove difficult to work with. A way to avoid any potential difficulties is to check that the various type of software that we are using is compatible with the different operating systems before hand.
Finally, our group uses Google Drive a lot. When using this we will have to be careful that when importing and exporting media, the process is done correctly otherwise there could be a danger that we could loose the file or it would not be accessible to us from home ect... Also the problem of using this is that 1) it does not have unlimited storage and 2) it is reliant on the internet for our files to be accessible. To avoid any dangers, we should always back up our files so at least two people have a copy on them so there is less of a danger of it being lost.
