A record label or company is a brand/trademark associated with the marketing of music recordings and music videos. These big companies will sign famous artists and then aid them producing their song and music video as well as trademarking it, distributing it and enforcing copyright. 
The three largest music companies that hold up to 70% of the worlds music market are the Universal music group, Sony music and the Warner music group. Republic records is a label that is partnered with Universal music group and focuses on a large range of popular music. Artists include The Weeknd, lil wayne and Post Malone. Also XL recordings which has published many famous grime artists such as Giggs.
